When our team optimize your code we will first put it through some thorough benchmarking in order to highlight the current performance behaviour, this will be followed by generating hotspots from your code so we spend our time optimizing the real hotspots and not just on any troubled area. Over and over we see that the focus of optimizing is on the wrong area of the code and such not only gaining very little in terms of performance but also the ROI is very little. After we have highlighted the hotspots we start the re-factoring process, this could be as small and common as changing a common coding mistake, depending on the overall impact we could re-factor the entire hotspot. If this is not sufficient to meet your performance requirements then we go to the design phase and re-design your application from the ground up. In any case we will succeed to have your application perform within your service level acceptance criteria. After the optimalisation process has completed we will generate a final benchmark report which then will be used to compare against the benchmark generated prior to the optimalisation.
At any moment of the process we will inform you of our progress and we will generate detailed reports.

• PERFORMANCE CODE REVIEWS AND ANALYSIS

When you have chosen to have thorough Code Review of your software we will go through the code from a performance perspective and we will highlight the areas that cause a performance problem. In addition we will also highlight any issues that are waiting to happen when the code is executed under different circumstances, which are influenced by external factors like the operating system, the file system, the memory model, ... During the execution of this service we will not highlight any bad coding practices which do not contribute to performance issues but the code review is solely focussed on the overuse of additional system resources which slows your application down.
